Respect - "to Feel/Show Honor, or Esteem for someone/thing; to Consider the Well Being of, or Treat someone/thing with Deference/Courtesy". Showing Respect is a Basic Law of Life. Treat Every Person, from the Tiniest Child to the Oldest Elder with Respect At All Times. Special Respect should be Given to Elders, Parents, Teachers, and Community Leaders. No Person should be made to Feel "put down" by You; Avoid Hurting Other Hearts as You would Avoid a Deadly Poison. Touch Nothing that Belongs to someone else (especially Sacred Objects) without Permission, or an Understanding between You. Never Walk between, or Interrupt People who are Conversing. Speak in a Soft Voice, especially when You are in the Presence of Elders, Strangers, or Others who a Special Respect is Due. Do not Speak unless Invited to do so at a Gatering/PowWows where Elders are Present (except to ask what is Expected of You, should You be in Doubt). Never Speak about Others in a Negative Way, Whether They are Present, or Not. Treat the Earth, and All of Her Aspects as Your Mother. Show Deep Respect for the Mineral, Plant, and Animal Worlds. Do Nothing to Pollute Our Mother, Rise Up with Wisdom to Defend Her. Show the same Respect for the Beliefs/Religions of Others. Listen with Courtesy, and Your Heart to what Others have to Say, Even if You Feel that what They are Saying has No Meaning to You. Respect the Wisdom of the People in Council because once You Give an Idea to a Council Meeting, It No longer Belongs to You, It Belongs to the People. Respect Demands that You Listen Intently to theIdeas of Others in Council, and do not Insist that Your Idea Prevail. Indeed You should Freely Support the Ideas of Others if They are True, and Good, Even if Those Ideas are Quite Different than the Ones You have Contributed. The Clash of Ideas Brings Forth the Spark of Truth.

Each Morning upon Rising, and Evening before Sleeping, Give Thanks for the Life Within You, for All Life, the Good Things Creator has Given You, and for the Opportunity to Grow a Little More Each Day. Consider Your Thoughts/Actions of the Past Day, and Seek for the Courage, Strength to be a Better Person, and for the Things that Will Benifit Others.

Be Truthful At All Times, and Under All Conditions.

Always Treat Your Guests with Honor, and Consideration. Give Them Your Best Food, Blankets, Part of Your House, and Service to Your Guests.

Receive Strangers/Outsiders with a Loving Heart, and as Members of the Human Family.

The Hurt of One is the Hurt of All, and the Honor of One is the Honor of All.

All the Races, and Tribes in the World are like Different Colored Flowers of One Meadow, and All Beautiful. As Children of Creator , They All Must be Respected.

To Serve Others, be of some Use to Family, Community, Nation, and the World is One of the Many Purposes for which Human Beings have been Created. Do not Fill Yourself with Your Own Affairs. True Happiness Comes Only to Those who Dedicate Their Lives to the Service of Others.

Observe Moderation, and Balance in All Things.

Know Those things that Lead to Your Well-Being, and the Others that Lead to Your Destruction.

Listen to, and Follow the Guidance Given to Your Heart. Expect Guidance to come in many forms; Prayer, Dreams, in Times of Solitude, and in the Words, and Deeds of Wise Elders, and Friends.

Once a Council has Decided something in Unity, Respect Demand that do not Speak Secretly Against what ha been Decided. If the Concil has made an error, that error will become Apparent to Everyone in it's Own Time.

I am dedicated All of my posts, including 2Day's 2 Shemp, my pet Black Moore, Goldlfish 11/2/07, and All of those whom support Me in a very Unique, and Positive way!
When I was 5 years old, my Father, Charles (which had already painted this cinderblock-wall that protected my Grandmother Peg's Rosebushes from me) in between this Rainbow-colored wall, and the house, he built a swingset for me. Even though, I was not too fond of swings due to an accident that happened when I was four, I would just sit on one to Stargaze during the Spring/Summer Seasons, or on a clear-skied night.
This particular Autum/Fall night, that Our pet dog, Snoopy died of old age, I was Stargazing, and my Dad decided to soberly approach me, and ask,"Tina, what are you doing out here knowing that you could catch a death of a cold?!"
I explained to him that I was sad about Snoopy, so I decided to Stargaze, and wondering about the Stars. My Dad sat on the swing next to mine, and said,"They are Things, and People who are in Heaven."
I looked at him with a puzzled look, as if I was seeking more detail (which as you notice I still carry that trait). He explained,"When I was young, your Grandfather told me that they are things, or People that we knew, and were close to that have passed away, Creator places them there for Us to talk to."
I gave my Dad that curious look again, and asked,"So, what does it mean when One falls?"
He chuckled,and answered,"This means either they are sent back to help Us in Our Children,or something else. Don't forget that I told you this, pass it on to your Children, Friends, and People that need to be told this when the time comes."
I lost my Dad in 1986, I never got to say, "goodbye", but when I see those Stars, and this memory gets rekindled by loses of Other People, or things, I recall that Autumn/Fall night.
The reason to why I added this to this particular post is I promised some People that it would no only be shared with them, they can share it with their loved ones to assist with grief.

The ANIWhiteWolf Story..

I was attending a PowWow in Morgantown, WV in 2000-2001, In April 2001, I had been attending this PowWow for quite some time. The Talking Stick is to allow a person to speak when it is his/her turn, and not to speak out of turn, in order to show respect for All. When the Talking Stick was passed to me, I stated,"I am Christina of the Cherokee, Iroquios, Tuscarora Nation, I don't have a ANI name except the one that my Grandfather Gifted me when I was a child, and I am here to learn of my Culture, and gain Wisdom."
Once the Circle had broke, I walked over to an Elder Lady, Clan Grandmother, Charlotte as she Gifted me with a crystal, she stated, "When you introduced yourself to the Circle, I thought you were going to say your name was Spirit of WhiteWolf. Go share this with the other Elders here, and pray to Creator about it. I did this very thing, first shared this info with the other Elders. Then once I arrived home, and did my Meditation before going to sleep, I had a DreamVision to where I was walking on a preblazed trail, I came upon a crossroads, from my right a beatiful White Wolf passed in front of me, and boasted,"You are me, and I am you, go back to te Elders to tell them."
At the next PowWow, We had a Tobacco, and Naming Ceremony. WhiteWolf was Born.
